Flicker Concept


Flicker is set to be a top-down roguelike dungeon crawler, where you play as a candle who has to make his way through the dungeon floor before his wick burns out and you lose. Wick timer is TBD,  as you progress through the floors the difficulty will increase but you'll also gain better loot to combat this.  Along with increasing difficulty you'll unlock more room variety and optional rooms allowing you to get extra loot or power ups to make progression easier, but getting said extra gear/power ups won't be easy.  At that point it starts to become a gamble whether you try to proceed as normal with the ever increasing difficulty with the loot you've already acquired or you risk your precious time trying to become stronger and face even more challenging foes/bosses to get powerful loot to make progress easier, as some of the rooms are optional challenge rooms.
